Hunting stories

Hunting is a special adventure; it has many facets, emotions run deep, and the consequences of mistakes are enormous. It is therefore no cowboy adventure, but a thoughtful undertaking that often unfolds in cold, windswept polders and autumn woods. You can read about it in the hunting stories below.

Stories from the Field

In this section, we share hunting stories, sometimes entertaining, sometimes intense. What they all have in common is a deep respect for nature, flora, and fauna. We humans are part of nature, yet we so easily place ourselves “above” it. That possibility disappears when you hunt.

You often stand quite literally with your boots in the clay. As soon as you hunt, you are one with nature, both by choice and out of necessity. Despite all the modern firearms, clothing, and other equipment, game often outsmarts you.

Hunting stories recount hunters’ experiences, for edification and amusement. For some, they strike a familiar chord; for others, they offer an interesting glimpse into this wondrous world. It is a world we hunters deeply admire and are eager to share with one another and with you.

We hope you take something positive from this intense experience of nature and that some of the admiration conveyed here by the hunter stays with you.
